Straight from family farms in the Bugisu region of Uganda, this coffee will quickly become a flavor bomb in your mouth. Grown on the slopes of Mt. Elgon, The Sipi Falls Coffee Project helped make each cup unique and support small, independent farms in the region. These bourbon-variety Arabica beans grow at an altitude of roughly 1,500 to 2,000 meters (4,900 to 6,500 feet). The beans run through a washed process and are sun-dried.

You'll find each cup to be complex. Look for chocolate, a bit of hazelnut, dark fruits, and sometimes even toffee and honey! Whew, so many flavors. The finish is earthy, but the body is surprisingly light, something we wanted to bring out with this medium-dark roast. You'll find a bit of oil on this bean, but we made sure to finish it just before the second crack, ensuring all that magnificent body is kept without the sometimes overwhelming boldness that can come with a dark roast.

This coffee is Rainforest Alliance Certified and is grown on a certified organic farm.

Heads up: 5LB bags may take an extra 1-2 days to roast and ship.
